This chapter is rather interesting. Having just concluded God's scathing indictment of Israel's leadership; they have reached a point of no return. The judgment of God cannot be turned back. Israel, as a nation cannot be turned around.

God will now reveal to the people what they have done and why they have done it prior to declaring his judgment to come. God is righteous and just. No one will be able to question His judgment when it comes.

Yet in contrast to the unrighteous, the righteous remnant, during this time, will find peace, true peace. They will have the peace of God that passes all understanding. Furthermore, they will experience the wonderful blessing of God both in possession and inheritance.

Now, God is righteous and just, but He is also gracious and merciful. In the face of this great judgment to come, God offers to the unrighteous an opportunity to repent. If they do repent, God is willing to forgive and able to heal.

We live in a day where the return of Christ is at hand. God's judgement is soon to be poured out. For the righteous, stand strong in the LORD. Stay true to Jesus and His word always. For the unrighteous, God is ever willing to forgive you of your unrighteousness and to heal you of all your transgression, iniquity and sin.

Jesus is coming so soon. Let us all be prepared for His return.
