In this study, we immediately see the work of the trinity as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are described as being a part of both the first and second coming of Jesus Christ.
Next, we see the first and second advents of Jesus laid out for us. Jesus, in Luke 4:16-21, confirmed the portion of this passage that speaks of His first coming. The bible will always be the best commentary on the bible.
As we know, every prophesy contained in the Old Testament concerning the first coming of Jesus Christ was fulfilled precisely. This is an indisputable fact. Knowing that every prophesy concerning the first coming of Jesus was fulfilled exactly, we can know for a certainty that every prophesy concerning his second coming will be fulfilled without question.
Jesus is coming again according to the scriptures. How does this impact the way we are living for Jesus today?
Jesus commands us to live in full obedience to His word regardless of cost or consequence. We are not to tolerate compromise or corruption as it leads to backsliding, apostasy and full blown deception. We are not to fear anything other than God. We are to be faithful unto death. And we must not deny the name of Jesus.
Are we truly living for Jesus?
