Let's follow the example of those who live in Blue Zones:

1) Cook with olive oil.
Use avocado oil when you need to cook with high heat.
The polyphenols in the oil clean your body of toxins. It helps the good bacteria in your microbiome. It actually also helps reduce the formation of bad stuff in the brain.

2) Eat more fish.
SMASH once a week. Salmon, mackerel, anchovies, sardines and herring. It's eaten in all five of the Blue Zones.

3) Eat  5 servings of vegetables per day.
Avoid peas, corn, potatoes and green beans as these all contain lectins.
Instead, eat brussel sprouts, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, broccolini. Use it as an excuse to add olive oil and other healthy oils.

4) Snack on nuts.
It mimics fasting when you eat fat in between meals. The omega 3's boost your immune system and reduce inflammation. It raises good cholesterol and lowers blood pressure. Avoid peanuts and cashews. Eat pecans, walnuts, pistachios and macadamias.

5) Savor every bite.
Enjoy each bite and your satiety centers have time to catch up. Enjoy the moments when you eat. Enjoy what you eat.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
