Description

Jesus was with the disciples for three years. He died and rose again. He breathed on them the breath of life, which was the Holy Spirit. Even after that, Jesus told them to wait for something more, a gift from the Father. It would be so good that it was better for them that Jesus left. Otherwise, the Holy Spirit would not come. There has been perhaps little else in all church history, however, that has been the center of more confusion and division than the Holy Spirit.

It should be the opposite, though. Instead of fearing or worrying about, or trying to control this gift, we should embrace it because God is good, and He gives good gifts. He doesn't trick us. In this sermon, Pastor Dennis explores what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit going back to creation and into the present day.
