Jesus finishes His opening statements (the Beatitudes) to His kickoff sermon (the Sermon on the Mount) by saying "those who are persecuted...are blessed." Really Jesus? Blessed? Once again, we're struck by Jesus subversive ideas. But, it's Jesus, so there's gotta be something here.
