Awakened in a Dark World — Making the Most of These Days 

“If you’ve ever said, I wish things were different, this message is for you.” From Ephesians 5:11–17, we hear a clear call to stop wishing for another moment and start shining in this one. We’re reminded that believers are Christ’s ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20), set here on purpose, to live and declare that Jesus is Lord—not by capitulating to culture, but by exposing darkness with the light of Christ.

Six Ways to Make the Most of These Days:

1. Refuse to waste time wishing. Nostalgia doesn’t change the world—obedience does.
2. Resolve to take no part in darkness (Eph. 5:11). Hold a firm, Christ-first allegiance.
3. Radiate the contrast. Let the life and light of Jesus shine through you.
4. Remember God redeems even darkness. What’s exposed by light can become light—this is gospel transformation.
5. Awaken, O sleeper (Eph. 5:14). Engage your moment with clarity, courage, and hope.
6. Aim to please the Lord above all (Eph. 5:10,17). When that’s your compass, decisions become clear.

This sermon invites us to trade cultural commentary for biblical conviction, to live Galatians 2:20 lives—crucified with Christ, walking by faith, shining brightly in a world chasing shadows. Jesus has already won the victory; now let’s walk as His ambassadors, redeeming the time.
