As Jesus was preparing to face the cross, He told His disciples in John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
The dictionary defines peace as "a state of mental or physical quiet or tranquility" or "the absence or cessation of war." Also as "a state of reconciliation after strife or enmity." Jesus gives us the third of these: "A state of reconciliation after strife or enmity." He also gives a new definition of peace that is not included in the dictionary definition, "rest for the soul." It is only Christ who can speak peace to your heart. Only Christ can bring us peace. This world is being shaken by spiritual forces that have men's hearts failing them for fear, but in Christ there is peace.
