This is always the question that we should arrive at when we hear the Word of God – what difference does it make to me? Jesus raised up disciples to follow in His footsteps, and those disciples raised up disciples to follow them as they followed Christ and on and on it goes until finally it is passed down to us. We inherit this legacy – this call of God to impact the world for good; to love the unlovable; to embrace the untouchable; to comfort those who mourn; to feed the hungry; bind up the broken; to shine a light in the darkness. That is the call; the question today is, will we respond?
