Description

Happiness is a nice to have but not essential.
Christmas is the signpost that the year's about to click over, so today we look back over a lifetime and reflect on the good times, the bad, and how we fared in the process. If we look at recent events close to home, there's so much reason for sadness—but today we have a chance to spread some joy, so let's step up and connect with others.

This is another year without our son Buster Vogt, and we reflect on our journey before and since, applying the red arrows and green arrows to see what we did well and what we could have done better. Happiness is nice to have but not essential all the time—expecting it constantly would only create disappointment.
Life has a way of putting us straight, and if we can stay on the planet long enough, we'll get our share of the good, the life lessons, and the wisdom that comes with experience.

Today I reach out to everyone who's doing it tough. Hopefully this podcast can keep you company while you go for a walk, have your lunch, or sit at the beach.

There's always a good ending to the story—it just depends when you end the story.
You are all worthy of a good life. Be kind, care about others, offer help to those in need, and it will come back tenfold.
