Last weekend Australia celebrated a very contentious holiday Australia Day, many feel that date needs to be changed and I tend to agree. That aside I was glad of the holiday and the surf that came with the long weekend.
I have just finished a run of five fringe shows, doing comedy and storytelling. It was a great experience and off the back of these shows I have new ideas to develop, so really exciting stuff.
This is 2026 the year of connection and self care and throughout this episode I will share a bunch of positive strategies to help you on your way. We discuss challenging your negative self chat and suggest some simple defusion techniques to do this using positive (green arrows pointing upward) and negative (red arrow pointing downward) thought bubbles.
Deciding that today is the day to bring in new routines doesn't need to be too overwhelming and just by making small changes with regular attention, you will notice growth in multiple areas. A few tips for being a healthier human is; quality rest, healthy eating, activity and connecting with others.
FYI: Moderate activity stimulates creative thinking, this is a very cool tip and comes with a lot of positives too.
A reminder that feeling good is determined by the actions that we take, not just about our emotions. Dopamine, Endorphins, Oxytocin and Serotonin are all mood enhancing brain chemicals stimulated by many of the actions we talk about in this episode.
