Ideas have consequences. In other words, what we think and believe, matters, because our ideas work themselves out in our attitudes and behaviors. If we embrace bad or immoral or evil ideas, our actions are likely to follow suit. If we embrace good or moral or wholesome, biblical ideas, our actions will show accordingly. That's why the Apostle Paul said in Phil. 4:8, "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." He knew what the positive result would be.
In the Early 21st C, the world, the USA included, is awash in bad, immoral, evil ideas, ones the consequences for which are tyranny, oppression, degradation, destruction, and death. Ideas have consequences.
It is therefore imperative that individuals, especially Christians, "buy the truth and do not sell it" (Prov. 23: 23). In doing so, we become a beacon in a dark and despairing fallen world, shining the light of beauty, love, and hope.
