We are all called to live every day ready for Jesus to return, like a watchman waiting on a wall. But as we wait it is easy to grow comfortable, drowsy and even to "fall asleep" on duty. That is why in this passage Paul is exhorting us to come alongside one another helping to strengthen one another so that we might live ready. Paul tells us we do this by instructing the wayward, encouraging the disheartened, and holding fast to the weak and broken. This is how we all might live ready for Jesus return.
