As we continue our series in Jonah we will be delving into the tempest that changed Jonah’s direction. It’s easy to see storms in this life as punishment for sin, to think God is angry at us. But what if the storm isn’t meant to pay you back for sin, what if the storm is meant to bring you back to him…. Then the storm isn’t proof of Gods anger, no its proof of Gods love for you and I. The storm hurled at Jonah was not wrath but mercy. And for followers of Jesus the difficulties of Life are never storms of wrath, rather they are tempests of mercy. They are a sign of Gods relentless love for you and I, stopping at nothing to bring us back into right relationship with Him.
