* It's all happening at the Perth Glory with practise matches against two high quality NPL outfits before taking an A-League outfit down to Bunbury in October as the women also welcomed some new personnel additions
* The Scorchers men and women had their BBL and WBBL draft last night adding both some familiar and unfamiliar faces to their playing list with more to come in the coming weeks
* AFLW is back and the team in purple started with a bang going 6 on the trot in derbies but there was progress for West Coast
