Transformation Tip: “ Your triggers are the fruit of a much deeper root!” Steve Chua
Concept(s)
- Triggers are created by significant events that leave scars, wounds, or compartments of pain, shame, insecurity, terror, panic
- A trigger sends a message to a memory(ies) that leaves us vulnerable and unprotected and causes us to behave in self-protective ways
- Triggers can cause us to act irrationally or cause us to overreact.
- Triggers can come from our wounded child.
We go over practical tips on how to identify trauma and how to start processing these events!
Transformation Application: Make a list of up to 3 triggers you think you might have. If you can’t think of any, ask a partner or close friend to help you identify them.
