Under the sacrificial system, the people were separated from God by a great curtain that only the high priest could enter. Because of the blood of Jesus, the curtain is removed—the very barrier between us and God is taken away. When we read and meditate Him and His promises, we grow closer to Him and become more like Him. No matter who we were, in Jesus our sin removed by the power of His death, burial, and resurrection if we are in Him.
