October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the women who face one of life’s hardest battles with courage, strength, and heart. It is also a time to spotlight those who are changing what support, healing, and empowerment look like for women navigating life after cancer. For many across South Carolina, that change began sixteen years ago with Sherry Norris and her company, Alala.
Sherry’s story is one of creativity, faith, humor, and grit. It is a reminder that life’s detours can lead us exactly where we are meant to go. From a chance conversation at a Girl Scout camp to building a million-dollar business that helps thousands of women each year, her journey reflects what happens when purpose meets persistence.
