Dealing with Doubt

All of us, at times, have struggled with doubt. Sometimes we have questions about God and what He is doing in times of national tragedy; or else we wonder why bad things happen to good people. Sometimes our doubts are about things we read in the Bible; or our own worthiness or even God’s forgiveness. The truth is that practically every one of us has had doubts.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1). Oswald Chambers said, “Doubt is not always a sign that a man is wrong; it may be a sign that he is thinking.” What have your seasons of doubts been like?
2). Doubt can lead to sin, but it can also lead to faith. What started off as doubt, that ended up as an axiom of faith for you?
3). Re-read John 20.24-25 as a community group and answer these three questions:
1. What does this passage mean to me personally?
2. What does this passage say about the world I live in?
3. What about this passage is weird, cool, or confusing?
