Part 3 – Can Forgiveness Heal a Nation?
We’ve been learning about forgiveness, what it is, what it isn’t, and how to do it. This week, we’re going to take this powerful truth and apply it beyond the individual. Can age-old scars and injustices be uprooted through the power of forgiveness? Could it be that the solution to some of our most protracted problems is not found in the politics of the right or left but from above? Can truth-telling, fact-facing, boldly courageous forgiveness heal our nation? Join us as we dive more deeply into forgiveness.

C. S. Lewis said, “Everyone says forgiveness is a lovely idea until they have something to forgive.” Isn’t that the truth? One of the major reasons we don’t forgive is because we don't understand what forgiveness is or how it works. In one major study, researchers discovered only a handful of people have a coherent, Biblical view of forgiveness. In fact, only 4% of the general population and only 5% of all Christians could separate fact from fiction when it came to forgiveness. That’s sad and that’s something we want to address in this series. Most of all, we hope to help you discover the freedom that comes from letting go of hurts.
