The Lord’s Prayer is more than just a model prayer. It’s a bold declaration – a manifesto – it proclaims God’s kingdom as breaking into the present reality. It’s only 57 words long (in the original Greek). But those 57 words contain a kind of dynamite that shatters earthly kingdoms. This is how Jesus taught His disciples to pray so it has much to say to us about the way we pray.
