Stopping Blame: Out of Water - Part 4

SERIES: OUT OF WATER
In 1936, Albert Einstein wrote an essay in which he mentioned that we don’t know who it was that discovered water but we do know it wasn’t a fish. It’s a very simple but profound observation. Simply stated, that which we live among is invisible to us. This is especially true when it comes to self-defeating thinking and assumptions. We rarely think about our thinking but maybe we should. Could it be that the real reason we fail at new year’s resolutions is that we fail to address the bad thinking that led to the behavior in the first place? Join us in the coming weeks as we defeat the thinking that is defeating us.

PART 4 - Stopping Blame
Blame is a one-sided game. It’s not about understanding what happened or even why it happened. Instead, it’s about trying to make somebody else feel responsible. That’s what blame does – it points a finger at those you believe are responsible for your misery. We accuse others in order to defend ourselves. Let’s face it, it’s easier to think that the other person is totally wrong or bad than it is to take an honest look inward. Eventually, blaming blinds you and even filters how you see reality. There really is a better way. This weekend’s message will show you how to escape the blame trap in order to be all God meant for you to be.
