This world system is teaching our children that no one loses, everyone is first and no one fails. The truth is that in this life there will be many failures and losses. But we can learn from them, we need to learn, grow, do better, overcome! But as born again Christians there is a loss that we can avoid through faithful diligence to the call of God. One day we will be judged for what we did with the gift of salvation, some will receive reward but some will suffer loss.
