Ep 09 - Shocks To The (Nervous) System | In this episode show host Cory Nakasue reports from an ice covered Kingston. Cory sends special thanks to those she has on her team, who help her with aspects of the show and talks about why Aquarius season is a good time to acknowledge the value that people with different skills, values and perspectives lend to the creation of “the main event”. Cory reminds us that Aquarius relates to the nervous system, which is the system responsible for conducting electro-chemical stimuli from our senses - which allows us to detect changes within ourselves and our environment so that we can survive.

During the second half of the show Cory meets with Dr. Lucy Norcliffe, professor of neurology and clinical scientist. Cory and Dr. Lucy chat about the nervous system: how it works, what it does when it’s stimulated and how to nourish it. Tune in to hear Cory and Dr. Lucy discuss the brain, processing, and ways we can scientifically lower stress levels with breath.
