Wildlife biologist turned recent culinary graduate.
Johnathan O'Dell, from an early age was gifted two interconnected passions in life, one from each of his parents. Gathering wild foods with a rod and gun from his father and cooking that which I harvested from his mother. This allowed John to experience first-hand whole animal butchery, respect for ingredients, and nose-to-tail eating, as well as dynamic creativity and innovation required in the kitchen. This led to a successful career as a wildlife biologist, to give back to the wild things and wild places that give so much. But now, He has a desire to become a better student of gastronomy with the opportunity to learn and grow. This carried Johnathan to Argentina to study the culinary world South of the equator.
Adventures and knowledge are just a few of the characteristics this mountain of a man shares on this new episode of Cooking Up a Story.
