Wendy Lockinge decides to set up a team to investigate the death of Dr Trescothick. She selects him because of his knowledge of Meniscus, but appears to know of his secretive investigations with the Librarian.
She adds Susie Yup to the team as a local journalist who is a friend of John Keane.
From her department she choses Orlando, her personal assistant, and a trusted senior academic named Scrivener.
Reluctantly she starts to activate her contacts with the security forces.
