2 Peter 3:5-10 is the text for this sermon entitled, "The Day of the Lord."
Peter write to Christians about five significant things about the Day of the Lord, filled with good news for believers:
1.We anticipate with joy the day of the Lord knowing it is on his timetable.
2.We rest in peace knowing God’s promise will be fulfilled.
3.We sense the heart of God and his desire that all come to him with a believing repentant heart.
4.Unlike those without faith, we will not let the day of the Lord come upon us a thief in the night.
5.The day of the Lord ushers in the new heaven and the new earth.
