Description

Not every idea that sounds spiritual is rooted in the truth God has revealed in Jesus. Throughout the church’s history, well-intended practices, perspectives, and personal experiences have sometimes shaped the way people think about prayer in ways that don’t fully reflect who God actually is.

That’s why, in this series, we’ve been slowing down to examine certain beliefs and practices — not to be critical, and not to question the core truths of our faith — but to ask a careful and necessary question: Does this align with what God has revealed in Christ?

This week, we turn that question toward prayer.

Rather than treating prayer as a performance, a formula, or a spiritual force we wield, Jesus points us to something steadier and far more relational — a life lived in humble, daily dependence on a loving and sovereign Father.
