Salutations. In our fourth episode, Giving with Glee, we discuss what it means to be a cheerful giver and who to give to - the Church, the Poor, and/or the Hungry. We also delve into whether giving is always associated with money or should giving also include our time, talents, gifts, etc. in service to others.
Reverend Monica Ledford is our awesome guest. She is an ordained minister currently serving as the Director of Pastoral Care for Cherry Log Christian Church in Cherry Log, GA. She previously served as pastor of Christ First, ICCC. Monica knew from childhood that she was called to ministry. Her passion is finding solutions to help those in need. She previously served as the Director of a local food pantry and was involved in the creation of a feeding ministry for homeless day laborers and a recovery group. She also serves as the Treasurer of a nonprofit organization, Women Together Period, Inc. This organization is dedicated to providing free menstrual products and addressing period poverty in North Georgia. Furthermore, she is studying at Lexington Theological Seminary in preparation for future work in chaplaincy.
