James 2:1-13… says favoritism is not just unkind, it’s sin. Whether based on wealth, status, politics, or appearance, showing favoritism violates the law to love our neighbor as ourselves. It makes us judges over people God loves equally. We’re reminded that we will be judged by how we treat others, and God’s mercy will reflect the mercy we’ve shown. Thankfully, mercy triumphs over judgment.
