What does real wisdom look like? James 3:13-18 gives us the test. Wisdom isn’t about being the smartest or most successful—it’s shown through humble, godly living. James contrasts two kinds of wisdom: earthly wisdom, marked by jealousy and selfish ambition, and heavenly wisdom, which is pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy, impartial, and sincere. True wisdom produces peace and a harvest of righteousness. The question is, are we living by God’s wisdom or our own?
