"Confused" is a word many would use to describe their understanding of the Holy Spirit. However, the Holy Spirit doesn't need to be confusing. Using the definition of the Trinity, along with how the Spirit Empowers, Purifies, Reveals, and Unifies, we can know well the third person of the trinity. And in knowing Him well we can be obedient to His calling.
The Trinity = God is one in being and three in person.
