In pt. 3 of the Resolute series, Pastor Branson shares the astonishing truth about resurrection and what it means for those who are in Christ. In Matthew 22:23-32 Jesus is again confronted by the Jewish leaders who want to eliminate him. This time their efforts focus on resurrection. Jesus responds to their veiled trap with a simple but amazing truth: “Have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” Matt. 22:31-32. God is the God of the living! This is an amazing truth for us to hold onto! Because Jesus conquered death and rose again we have the promise of an eternal life with God through faith. And, because God can do “immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine”-Eph. 3:20, we can have great hope and confidence in the wonderful relationship He wants with us, and all that is awaiting us in Heaven!
