The theme of Redemption runs throughout the book of Ruth, and this final chapter in the story is no exception. As we close out her story we see Boaz live into his role as Ruth's kinsman redeemer by marrying her and caring for both her and her mother-in-law Naomi. Pastor Branson shared that two great blessings came to Ruth and Naomi from this redemptive act: a renewed life, and a lasting legacy. Ultimately, we see God's amazing redemptive plan through Ruth's story. Jesus coming as our Kinsman Redeemer brings us the opportunity to know new life and to be part of a lasting legacy in the Kingdom of God!
