1991's "Cape Fear," directed by Martin Scorsese, is a psychological thriller film that follows the story of a vengeful ex-convict, Max Cady, played by Robert De Niro, who terrorizes the family of his former lawyer, Sam Bowden, portrayed by Nick Nolte. As Cady's relentless pursuit escalates, Bowden must protect his loved ones from the menacing threat that Cady poses.
