Fantastic Four (2005), directed by Tim Story, follows four astronauts—Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd), Sue Storm (Jessica Alba), Johnny Storm (Chris Evans), and Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis)—who gain superpowers after being exposed to cosmic radiation during a space mission. As they struggle to control their new abilities and navigate their altered relationships, they must unite to stop the villainous Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon), whose own transformation poses a global threat.
