"The Shining" is a psychological horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick. It follows the story of Jack Torrance (played by Jack Nicholson), who becomes the winter caretaker of the remote Overlook Hotel, alongside his wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) and young son Danny (Danny Lloyd). As the family settles into the eerie, snowbound hotel, Jack's sanity begins to unravel, and the hotel's sinister history comes to life.
