In this very special (late night) edition of Coming Attractions we outline tonight's huge special event at the HLT: Our first ever live streaming of the NCAA College Football Playoffs National Championship game!!!!! That in itself should be big news, but since our Washington Huskies are in it, for the first time, and the first time since that storied season of 1991, the stakes couldn't be any higher. I feel that this team is blessed with the mojo of the football Gods. This has been a magical season full of dramatic wins and gritty performances, one of the greatest of all time for the men who wear the purple and gold. Come on out tonight and join the fun. Battle Point BBQ will be set up at 3:30 out front for your tailgating accompaniment, with doors (gates) opening at 4 and kick-off at 4:30. Tickets are available on line right now at Farawayentertainment.com or you can buy them at the door. $20 gets you in to watch the Huskies make history on the big screen.

Watch another Husky championship season , one that included an Olympic gold medal in the 1936 Olympics, as BOYS in the BOAT continues its magnificent run. Tuesday is Senior Tuesday with $9 tix for folks 60 and above and Open Captions (subtitles). Last two days are Wed & Thu with show times at 4:30 & 7. Starting Friday FALLEN LEAVES screens at 4:30 & 6:30.

The local Santana tribute band, BATUKA plays on Saturday night. Doors at 6:30 and show at 7. Tickets at Farawayentertainment. com or Eventbright.com.  What a week this one will be!!

On a more somber note, our sell-out crowds for Boys in the Boat required some quick managerial decision making (not only do we have but a single point of sale terminal - but we installed a completely new software system during the opening of the biggest film to hit the HLT since - well, ever). Our goal is to get everyone inside and seated before the opening credits. To do so with 230 people, most of them wanting popcorn and soda or bee, is one Herculean task. Reacting to the demand and chaos I, trustingly, allowed those that had purchases tickets on-line to enter without a scan, thusly reducing the processing time by half. The bad news is that it has getting back to us that this temporary emergency act was abused. Word travels fast on BI. By the third night people were taking advantage of our good nature. How many? I don't know. But what I do know is this: We are going back to scanning 100% of those who purchase up front and on-line- no matter how long to takes and no matter how much of the feature you miss as a result. Further, should I catch anyone in the act of scamming our system - YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR LIFE. Additionally, you will be banned from all the theaters in the FAE chain, and more emphatically, I will find a mug shot of you and post it to social media. Death penalty? Precisely.

Thanks to all who played it by the rules and I apologize for taking the hard line, but this one really boiled my blood. Thanks for your understanding and I hope to see you tonight for the big game. GO DAWGS!
