Sam Mendes and Sir Roger Deakins return for another week at the HLT with their beautiful ode to a bygone era of 35mm films, a nation in turmoil and two people at demographic polar extremes of each other. Naturally they meet in the Empire theatre and begin a relationship with the grand art deco masterpiece as confidant. With conflict on all fronts, they navigate their way through the minefield of early 80's England and into the reality of their own power and potential. If only.........

I will be releasing the results of my informal polling on Friday wherein all 46 films that graced our big screen over the course of 2022 are critiqued and rated. I will break them down into several categories and offer my humble opinion in Academy-like style. To kick off this soon-to-be-annual extravaganza I will at this time reveal the five films that share the dubious distinction of being at the very bottom of the list. These films, while I applaud their efforts, failed the one true test of any story: Capturing Interest.
