Coming Attractions for Tuesday, Oct 24
By popular demand - and prior arrangement - KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON stays where it belongs - at the HLT - for another week. That is our current operating procedure in booking the blockbusters, we get the premiere of the biggies for two weeks before shipping them upstream to the Pavilion. This was a hard fought victory, from which I am still in recovery. Group hugs. To the schedule then:
Tue, Oct 24 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 3 & 7. (Open captioned)
Wed, Oct 25 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 3 & BACK to the FUTURE @ 7
Thurs, Oct 26 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 3 & 7
Fri, Oct 27 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 3 & 7
Sat, Oct 28 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 11, 3 & 7 - ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW @ 10:35
Sun, Oct 29 - KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 11, 3 & 7
Mon -Thu, Oct 30- Nov 2, KILLERS of the FLOWER MOON @ 3 & 7
But wait - there’s more.
Upcoming Special Events:
Wednesday, Oct 25, BACK to the FUTURE @ 7. The Johnny B Goode scene alone is worth the price of admission, Go Marty Go.
Please note the RHPS this Saturday night. We secured a local sponsor who is subsidizing the event in order for us to offer the ridiculously low throwback price of $10 per ticket. Event starts at 10:35 and is rated R. No rice, water pistols, bread (toasted or otherwise) candles, confetti, hot dogs or prunes lease. I hate censorship as much as the next lib but I also hate unnecessary janitorial work as well. I am sure you understand.
Friday, November 3 @ 7 - MOUNTAINSIDE. Locally produced and shot entirely in Seattle, producer Erich Cannon, once a FAE manager, will intro the film and take your questions afterwards along with writer, director and protagonist Mikiech Nichols and other cast and crew members. Tickets are on-sale now on our site.
Friday, November 10 @ 9:30 - MASTER CHIEF. In case you haven’t noticed, we are surrounded by active duty military. Every one of the bases, facilities, ports, airstrips and munition sites have a deep and, mostly, proud historical tradition. We have a good number of them as regulars. They will all immediately recognize the potential in a film with as titular a title as could be. The Master Chief is the senior enlisted person and works as the liaison between the CO and the enlisted ranks. I have known and worked with several and always found them to be fair, tough, dedicated and supportive. Unless you fuck up. Then, as they say, batten down the hatches. This drama screens the day before Veteran’s Day and is the pilot for a potential TV series. As many of you will recognize I have been running the trailer, along with MOUNTAINSIDE and other teasers in the pre-show entertainment video. Tix on sale on our site.
Friday, November 17 @ 7. Doors at 6:30. THE JOEL GIBSON JR BAND. Country rocker Joel Gibson Jr calls Port Orchard the home place. Again, you can get a sample of his style by watching his music video on the pre-show entertainment video - note the Bainbridge Island homeport on a yacht. Let night a customer commented that he sounds like Steve Earl. I enthusuascically agreed. We will have a supply of PBR on hand at happy hour prices for this one! Tix at our site.
Sunday, November 12 @ Noon. Sponsored by Squeaky Wheels, WOMEN DON’T CYCLE is a documentary of an 11 month bike adventure by Manon, from Brussels to Tokyo.. Being a veteran of several long-course cycle treks, I am most intrigued by this one. It is a fund raiser for SW, who will also intro and host a Q&A after via a ZOOM video with the producer and stars live from Europe. All my cycling buddies are required to attend.
