Who says politics and movies don't mix? Our special guest for Episode 104 is the longest-serving current Governor in America, a former HS QB, Hoopster at Stanford and witness to the most exciting football game of all-time (Washington vs Stanford). Those athletic merits aside, he is also a well-versed fan of the cinema, and especially when the venue is the Historic Lynwood Theatre about 5 minutes from his home on Bainbridge Island. We had the honor of a 45 minute chat with the Gov, touching on subjects ranging from his favorite Husky QB, Sonny Sixkiller, sports movie, Breaking Away, and Political movie, All the Presidents Men, to the more pressing and urgent, climate change, SCOTUS, his run for the highest office in the country, all ending with a call to action.
The call came as answer to my question, "What can a single guy do to be a part of the solution?"
You are invited to listen to his eloquent and motivational response. I came away with a different point of view and hope that you will as well.
Episode HLT104 is sponsored by Artisan Bakery Pane d' Amore, bakers of the best bread this side of Paris and Rome. With shops on Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend and Sequim, they speak the language of love, the Love of Bread. Call them today at 206.780.1902, order a specialty loaf and enjoy. Tell 'em the Governor sent ya! Or me.
Thanks for the listen and stay turned for our next episode, dropping on July 14, Ciao amici.
