This bio I gleaned from Sam McJunkin's website. Since there is a slim chance I could have done any better, I'll give it to you verbatim.
"Sam McJunkin is a film director, producer, editor and writer who helps companies like Microsoft, Dell, Starbucks and others tell their story or their customers stories in ways that are compelling and authentic. Spending nearly twenty years traveling around the world and capturing a huge array of unique and diverse human stories, Sam has honed not just his interviewing skills but also hie eye for real and captivating moments that add a distinct sense of heart and humanity that his work has become known for."
I have known Sam for over twenty years, with our first meeting being an introduction by a mutual friend who suggested to me that he might be the perfect fit as an editor for a project I was working on. His plate was full at the time, as creative types with robust skill sets usually are, so we couldn't collaborate, but over the years we have crossed paths many times. Every one of those meetings started with the question, "What are you working on?"
It was a real treat to have Sam on the show yesterday, we went for over an hour and I'm sure we could have easily doubled that. Take a listen and hear for yourself what the life of a cinematic artist demands. I think you'll enjoy the ride.
Casablanca on Sunday at 1 and again on Wednesday night at 7. As tribute to arguably the greatest movie making achievement in the history of cinema, those of you who show up dressed as Bogey, Bergman, Peter Lorre, Syndey Greenstreet, Paul Henreid, Oscar Rains or even Director Michael Curtiz, will get a free popcorn. Truth be known, I have no idea what style of dress Mr Curtiz favored, so you'll be safe with a decent fedora.
But I bet Sam knows. And not Sam the piano player. I mean McJunkin.
Lookin' at you kid.
Kevin
