The concerto - originally for lute -is a real stalwart of the guitar concerto repertoire. All kinds of versions are out there. Mine is taken from Eduardo Fernandez's version with George Malcolm on harpsichord. I have also taken some bits from a guitar duet version and added some ( not many ) of my own ideas.
I have included a bass line throughout - because it adds full sound to the piece. The original version for lute would be lighter in texture - but this isn't for lute - its for a modern guitar ( Robs's hybrid guitar - 24 fret , Richlite fingerboard, floating fretboard etc... machine pegs ) I will put some pictures up one day.
I'm not entirely sure about the version - I've included all of the repeats - I am aware most performances include the first half of each movement twice - then play the second only once.
I thought having put a bit of time into it - you're going to get the whole piece.
