Another tune from about 2014. The lyrics are, particularly in the latter part of the song , are inspired by the words from the song version of the Peruvian tune El Condor Pasa.
I first came across the song on Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits LP from the 1970's . Is there anyone who had an LP collection who hasn't got that album ? Since then I've taught the tune and the song to countless students, who all find something in it to relate to. The song version was given English lyrics by Paul Simon. I always wondered if some of the songs meaning got lost in the translation from the Spanish - and I wrote a set of words that fitted the song for my use. I've put them into this tune.
