We were having a light hearted conversation ( seems pretty silly really) about names related to illnesses in West Country accents.
Things like "Dermott itis" and his cousin "Hal itosis" followed closely by his nephew " Arthur itis " ( Dermotts son) all sailing on the good ship Psor ( Sir ) iasis.- I had to check the spelling of that one..
For some reason we found this hugely amusing and as it was one of the boys birthdays a couple of days later, next day I went to look for a book on pirates.
Nothing doing - not terribly PC these days - what with Somali Pirates and boat hi-jackers, People and drug Smugglers ---
In the end I got a great gift book called Piratology off the internet - very silly with fake jewels, part of a pirate flag, gold coins and other memorabilia...
This is a tongue in cheek celebration of old time pirates
