Making the guitar sound harp like is something Pierre Bensusan has done and perhaps to a lesser extent John Renbourn in his arrangement of the O'Caralan tune Sheebeg and Sheemore.
The vihuela player Alonso Mudarra did this a very long time ago - 16th century . I've taken his idea and used it in this piece.
