There are so many different views and beliefs concerning life after physical death, not only among various religions, but even among proclaimed believers in Christ. And a very important observation concerning this subject is the lack of preaching about Eternity, in particular the idea of a place called Heaven and one called Hell.
Every follower of Jesus should have sufficient knowledge of this, since it is our ultimate destination. And not only knowledge, but believers should also have a growing desire to be with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, along with all the fellow saints of history and those yet to follow.
What happens when we die? Does our inner Being, what we call a “soul”, continue to exist, having awareness and thoughts and feelings? And what about our decayed bodies—is it really true that God will raise up our bodies to be joined with our Soul?
Is Eternity an existence only for those who believe and follow Jesus Christ, or is there actually an eternity for non-believers? Is there an actual place called Hell? Christianity declares the Truth about Jesus Christ: Son of God, Son of Man, Substitutionary sacrifice for Sin, Savior offering forgiveness, and soon-coming Righteous Judge & King. And there’s so much more… Eternal Life for those who bow in surrender and trust, and who follow Him in faith. Do you believe?
