Generally at this time of year my generation has always looked upward with pride in the celebration of America. There has been much blessing in our lives from having lived in this wonderful country, including the freedom of exercising our faith, while also being able to make a decent living and share my blessings within Christ’s church and abroad among His Mission.
Lately, we’ve watched the deterioration of morals and ethics, along with the legal wars against religion and Christianity, and we’re reminded that in any real sense, we do not truly belong here! This is NOT our home! We are people of a different land, and we’re on our journey to that wonderful, heavenly place called HEAVEN.
Peter wrote in his 1st letter that we are the People of God. In fact he calls us, “His own special people.” There is a distinct difference in terms of Who we are when evaluated on spiritual terms—something the world knows nothing about. Today, let’s pause, give thanks, and celebrate the blessed fact that we belong to Jesus Christ > We are His Body, the Church, destined for Eternal Greatness!
