*Jack Hartzler - Colossians 4:2-6
Those who are in the business of disciple-making desperately need the prayers of fellow saints. We need spiritual eyesight that we would seize the moments of opportunity when the gospel might be shared. I could not magnify this statement enough.
In fact, it can just as easily be stated that all believers need prayer for the courage to speak out for Christ, and even for discernment to recognize when the opportunity is present.
Whether it is a relative in our own household or a fellow worker or friend, someone in our sphere of influence needs the Lord, and in particular, there is someone who is seeking for answers, yet hesitant to say anything. And so, the Word tellsĀ us we should "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside..."
People in our life are always sizing us up, wondering what's behind our good character and friendly disposition. Our speech with them & others is critical because it sets us up for that one moment when the opportunity comes to speak of our faith in the One who gives us Hope beyond this life - the Lord Jesus Christ!
