36 years after this first official race at the age of 4, Cal Neff, continues to thrive in the running industry. He is a professional athlete for ALTRA, a running coach, and the Race Director for a year-round series of non-traditional, yet approachable, trail races under the Trail Racing Over Texas (TROT) umbrella.
He joins the podcast to share his world traveling upbringing, how he landed in Texas, and his approach to creating unique events for runners of all types. We also hit on how Cal was originally introduced to Recover (Hint: he still has a Recover shirt from 12+ years ago!) and the variety of ways that Recover and TROT are working together to bring the sustainable storytelling to TROT's start lines and beyond!
