We meet Isaac and Ishmael, the first two sons of Abraham. Abraham and Sarah, desperate for a child, take matters into their own hands and conceive a son, Ishmael, through Sarah's maidservant Hagar. However, God confirms that His covenant promises will be fulfilled through Isaac, the son born to Abraham and Sarah. As Isaac grows, he becomes the embodiment of God's promises, and Abraham's faith is tested when God commands him to sacrifice Isaac. Abraham's unwavering trust in God's faithfulness is revealed as he demonstrates obedience to God’s command.
